“I have a keen interest in the role of the media (both new and old) in the democratisation process especially in emerging democracies like Kenya. I join MeDoDEM to help with data collection on WP 5 on the role of civil society and political activism during the 2007/2013 general elections in Kenya, ICC cases and war on terror impacting on the Somali community. These three conflict cases have been phenomenal in the history of Kenya as a country and I am glad to be part of the MeDoDEM team working on these cases. My involvement in the data collection phase will enhance my understanding of the leading forces that contributed to the outcome of these conflicts.”
