“I have been researching the role of media in democratisation processes in Eastern Europe and I have been working with journalists from various countries on conflict reporting and other important issues of journalistic ethics. Therefore I have high respect for journalists standing their ground in difficult times and I know how urgently deep knowledge about media and conflict is needed. I hope that we can contribute with our research results to the dialogue for improving media’s performance in tense times.”
